LYNNDYL, Utah, Aug. 29, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — An intense storm toppled dozens of rail cars, tore the roof from at least one home, and downed multiple trees Saturday in Millard County, according to Sheriff Steve O’Camb. “We just had a crazy storm cell blow through here,” O’Camb said in a video statement from Lynndyl.

Railroad cars overturn after severe storm moves through Lynndyl
A severe thunderstorm that moved through Lynndyl damaged a house and derailed dozens of railroad cars Friday, according to the Millard County sheriff. Sheriff Steve O’Camb said the storm tore the roof off a house and tipped over about 34 railroad cars.
