Basin Recreation to celebrate 40 years at Trailside Park grand opening
Summit County residents can learn more about the Snyderville Basin Recreation District’s bond initiative at its 40-year celebration Friday, Oct. The Trailside Park Board Room will also be open for visitors to explore photos and memorabilia from Basin Rec’s past, including the creation of Trailside Park and its original playground.

Utah wildlife officials find zebra mussels in Colorado River
Wildlife biologists have found invasive zebra mussels on the Utah side of the Colorado River and are working to prevent further spread. To keep the species from spreading, state officials say all Utah river users must clean, drain and dry their vessels after coming out of the water.
