The Washington County Water Conservancy District says large amounts of floodwater cannot go into drinking water reservoirs because of the speed, volume, and poor quality of the water. There are still amounts that can contribute. Quail Creek, one of the district’s main drinking water reservoirs, has risen 5 1/2 feet in the past few weeks.
