The resort plans to open Nov. 20, conditions permitting. Resort officials said snowmakers are targeting their opening package terrain areas during early snowmaking windows. Crews started snowmaking at the runs off of the Saddleback Express and High Meadows Express lifts, as well as the beginner-friendly Homerun on the Mountain Village side of the resort.

Driver allegedly strikes, kills woman changing tire on Interstate 80

A man suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol is accused of hitting and killing a woman on Interstate 80 as she attempted to change a tire on Friday night, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
