Centennial Middle School Schedule Evaluation
Centennial Middle School is currently evaluating our schoolwide schedule to determine which scheduling model will best support student learning and educator success.
For approximately 10 years, Centennial has operated on a 5×5 A/B schedule, which allows students to take up to 10 courses across an alternating two-day schedule. The 5×5 provides important benefits, including opportunities for students to take electives and additional courses. A

National Weather Service Cancels Widespread Utah Flood Watch
The National Weather Service cancelled a widespread flood watch for southern and eastern Utah on Sunday evening, September 6, 2026, though some light rain may continue. As of Monday morning, flash flooding is no longer expected in major southern Utah areas including Zion National Park and Arches National Park.

Peteetneet Fire near Nebo Loop ruled human-caused, reaches 60% containment
The Peteetneet Fire in Utah County remained at 45 acres with no overnight growth and was 60% contained Monday morning, Utah Fire Info said. Crews worked along the fire’s perimeter overnight and continued suppression efforts. The fire was human-caused, though the specific cause remained under investigation.

Utah Faces Severe Flood Watch Amid Heavy Rainfall and Burn Scars

Provo cyclist killed in Labor Day crash
A busy Provo intersection has been shut down for the majority of Labor Day morning. Police say a car collided with a bicycle at Lakeview Parkway and I-15 off-ramp at University Avenue.
