Two major earthquakes struck near the Venezuelan capital of Caracas on Wednesday evening, causing building collapses and at least 164 reported deaths.
The seismic activity left at least 700 people injured as the tremors hit the region.
The first earthquake, measured at a magnitude of 7.2, occurred at 6:04 p.m. local time.
A second, larger strike with a magnitude of 7.5 followed just 39 seconds later.
