Logan City police took a wanted man into custody following reports regarding his whereabouts. The individual was previously the subject of a BOLO alert issued on July 13.
Police had originally sought a 40-year-old man believed to be armed and dangerous under the name Benigno Quevedo-Contreras, according to a news release.
Through an investigation, police determined the man's actual name is Antonio Zarco-Orozco.
In coordination with the Tremonton Police Department, Logan City police officers located Zarco-Orozco in the Tremonton area. A news release issued Tuesday evening stated that he was taken into custody without incident.
Zarco-Orozco is currently being held in the Cache County Jail. According to a statement from the Cache County Sheriff's Office, he was booked on multiple felony charges. These include aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, vehicle theft, forgery, and domestic violence in the presence of a child, along with numerous misdemeanor charges.
The Cache County Sheriff's Office expressed thanks to the public for assistance in the case. Officials stated that no additional information is being released at this time.
