Cache County has announced the appointment of Matt Pretl as the new County Surveyor. Pretl will play a significant role in managing land records, infrastructure, and the growth of the county.
In his role, Pretl is available to assist local residents, business owners, and developers with essential surveying duties. His responsibilities include conducting zoning reviews and managing road dedications to support community safety and accuracy.
As part of the Executive’s Office & Public Works, the Surveyor’s Office provides assistance to various county departments. The office is responsible for subdivision reviews, annexation reviews, and addressing right-of-way or roadway issues.
Additional duties of the office include maintaining a storehouse for surveys as well as section corner monumentation and preservation.
