Deer Valley Resort has announced updates for its 2026/27 winter season as part of its Expanded Excellence vision, according to a press release. The expansion includes the opening of the Hail Peak Express lift, which will provide access to 200 new skiable acres.
The Hail Peak Express will add seven new runs to the resort, including a run named Hill Yeah that honors Hill Air Force Base. This new lift will feature 86 chairs and is capable of moving 2,400 guests per hour. With this addition, the resort's total skiable acreage will reach 4,500 acres.
Other enhancements for the upcoming season include a new family-friendly snow feature zone located off Pioche Express on the Pirate King run. Additionally, a new 10-million-gallon reservoir is being constructed southwest of Park Peak Lodge to support increased snowmaking efforts. This reservoir is designed to work with the existing Summit Pump House to increase water flow for the resort's east side.
Since December 2024, Deer Valley has added 11 new chairlifts, including the Keetley Express, HooDoo Express, Aurora, Galena Express, Pioche Express, Neptune Express, Vulcan Express, Revelator Express, Pinyon Express, Hail Peak Express, and the Deer Valley East Village Gondola.
Looking toward future seasons, construction is underway for the Deer Valley East Village Lodge, which is scheduled to open for the 27/28 winter season. The core and shell of the new Park Peak Lodge is expected to be completed by fall 2026, with an interior buildout to continue through the 26/27 winter season ahead of its scheduled 27/28 opening.
