An optional brisket buffet prepared by Hidden Oak BBQ will be available at 5:45 p.m. at The Bldg. 178. Those interested in the meal can reserve a brisket dinner for $26 per person, which includes sides and dessert.
Tickets for the 4 p.m. matinee are $25 for Classic seating and $30 for Premiere seating. The evening performance tickets are priced at $32 for Classic and $37 for Premiere seating. Reservations for both the concert and the dinner can be made at casinostartheatre.com.
The five-member lineup includes Gary Cook, a two-time national flatpicking champion and Colorado Country Music Hall of Fame member who serves as lead guitarist and harmony singer. Matt Palmer performs fiddle and baritone, while Joel Racheff plays upright bass. Jeff Johnson provides rhythm guitar, banjo, and fiddle. The group's newest member is Hayley Victor, a country singer-songwriter from Albuquerque, New Mexico, who was a 2025 American Idol finalist and performs vocals, guitar, and yodeling.
The Bar D Wranglers have performed for over five decades, primarily from the Bar D Chuckwagon near Durango. The group has appeared at notable venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry.
The performances are part of the Casino Star Theatre Foundation’s 22nd live entertainment season. The season, which opened in October, will continue on Dec. 15 with musician Kurt Bestor. Originally opened in 1913 as a movie house and vaudeville auditorium, the Casino Star Theatre remains an entertainment venue for Gunnison and surrounding Central Utah communities.
The Casino Star Theatre Foundation was established in 2004 to present concerts and films while supporting public art projects and arts education throughout the valley.
