East Carbon City will honor an executive order from Governor Cox by prohibiting all fireworks.
According to Mayor Carolyn Abeyta, there will be no fireworks of any kind allowed in East Carbon City, state land, or BLM land. This prohibition will remain in effect until further notice.
In addition to the fireworks ban, the city is addressing water conservation efforts.
Residents are advised to follow the watering guidelines found on the Slow the Flow website. The city also noted that it will be implementing certain water restrictions.
The City of East Carbon requires annual conflict of interest disclosures from all elected, appointed, and employed persons. This information is kept on file with the city and may be subject to public disclosure.
