UINTA-WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST SPANISH FORK RANGER DISTRICTTEMPORARY TRAIL CLOSURES PROHIBITIONS:Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(a) and 36 CFR 261.50(b), the following acts are prohibited on the National Forest System trails described in this order. The trails affected is located on the Spanish Fork Ranger District, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. This order is in effect when signed June 27, 2019 and will remain in place until it is deemed safe for use.      1. Being in or upon the White Pine Hollow trail (Forest Service trail #111) and Calkens   Hollow trail (Forest Service trail #115) as described below and shown on attached map. This includes all motorized vehicles, pedestrian, equestrian and bicycle use. [36 CFR 261.53 (e)]EXEMPTIONS:Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:Persons with a permit specifically exempting them from the effect of this order.Any Federal, state or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of an official duty.Federal or State administrative personnel in performance of an official duty.AREA DESCRIPTION:White Pine Hollow trail (Forest Service trail #111) located in Township 10 South, Range 2 East, Sections 4, 33 and 34, all within the Salt Lake Based Meridian and shown on attached map.Calkens Hollow trail (Forest Service trail #115) located Township 10 South, Range 2.2 East, Sections 33 and 34, Township 11 South, Range 2 East, section 4 and 5 all within the Salt Lake Based Meridian and shown on attached map.PURPOSE:The WhitePine Hollow trail (Forest Service trail #111) and Calkens Hollow trail (Forests Service

Trail #115) closure is in place for public health and safety concerns until hazards can be

assessed and removed.Closures are due to Fire Impacts: Standing hazard trees, unstable soils, down trees, and burned trail structures (retaining walls/ bridges etc.); Snowpack/Wet Spring: saturated soils, high runoff, drainage concerns, down trees; Weather Concerns: potential for flash floods, debris flows and/or avalanches; Habitat Protection: to allow vegetation to re-establish along trail corridors; Trail Rehab: projects such as felling hazard trees is highly technical. Public entering into work areas will cause significant delays.IMPLEMENTATION:This Order will be in effect when signed June 27, 2019 and shall remain in effect until the campground, area and trail are deemed safe for use.Attached map shows the area affected by this Order.Violation of the above prohibition(s) is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization and/or imprisonment for not more than 6 months. [Title 16 USC 551, Title 18 USC 357l(b) (6), Title 18 USC 3581(b) (7)].Further information regarding this Order may be obtained at the Spanish Fork Ranger District, (801) 798-3571 or the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest Supervisors Office, (801) 999-2103.This Order supersedes any previous Order(s) prohibiting the same, or similar acts
