Allred, an 18-year-old from Cleveland, Utah, previously served as the 2024 Utah High School Rodeo Association bull riding champion, PBR reported. His selection follows high-scoring performances at major events, including a 91.3-point ride at the Denver Chute-Out during the National Western Stock Show in January and a 90.2-point ride at a PBR Touring Pro event in Las Vegas last December.

The Mavericks' selection came during a first-round draft headlined by the Kansas City Outlaws, who used the No. 1 overall pick to select Hayden Welsh. The draft featured several PRCA stars and international riders ahead of the league's fifth season, which is scheduled to begin in Fort Collins this July.
