The Cottonwood Heights Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026, to consider city-initiated requests for zoning text amendments. The proposed changes involve modifications to the Cottonwood Heights Municipal Code regarding off-street parking requirements and short-term rentals.
The hearing will address two specific files. The first, ZTA-26-005, seeks to modify CHMC Chapter 19.80 regarding off-street parking requirements. The second, ZTA-26-006, seeks to modify CHMC Chapter 19.89 regarding short-term rentals. The Commission may make recommendations to the City Council following the meeting.
The meeting will be held at Cottonwood Heights City Hall, located at 2277 E. Bengal Blvd. The proceedings will be divided into two sessions: a work session starting at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Work Room, and a business session starting at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Both sessions will be broadcast on the city’s YouTube channel.
Public meeting materials, including the agenda and staff report, are scheduled to be posted to the city website by the end of the day on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026.
Members of the public may provide verbal comments during the 6:00 p.m. business session, with comments limited to three minutes per person unless the agenda specifies otherwise. Written comments intended for distribution to the Commission prior to the meeting must be submitted to city staff by 12:00 p.m. MDT on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026.
