Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National ForestsSalt Lake Ranger DistrictTrail ClosurePROHIBITIONSPursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50 (b), the following acts are prohibited on the National Forest System trail in the Salt Lake Ranger District, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests, described below and shown on the attached map incorporated into this Order as Exhibit A. This Order will be in effect when posted on site as closed July 1, 2026, and shall remain in effect until September 30, 2026, unless rescinded.Being in/upon the Forest Service sections of the Holbrook Canyon Trail (Forest Service Trail #1628) when posted as closed as described below and shown on attached map, with any type of motorized vehicle, hikers, pedestrians, equestrians and bicycles. [36 CFR 261.53(e)]EXEMPTIONSPursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:Persons with Forest Service Permit specifically exempting them from this Order or a written determination by a Forest Service authorized officer that a permit is not required under 36 C.F.R. § 251.50(e)(1) or (2).Any federal, state, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting resource in the performance of an official duty.Federal or state administrative personnel in performance of an official duty.DESCRIBEDForest Service sections of the Holbrook Canyon Trail (Forest Service Trail #1628) is closed from milepost 0.353 to milepost 0.653 located in Township 2 North, Range 1 East, Section 28 all within the Salt Lake Based Meridian and shown on attached map.PURPOSEThe Holbrook trail (Forest Service Trail #1628) will only be closed for public safety when danger of falling rock is present while crews and heavy equipment are working on building a new portion of trail.IMPLEMENTATIONThis Order will be in effect when posted on site as closed July 1, 2026, and shall remain in effect until September 30, 2026, unless rescinded.A map identifying the road is attached and made part of this Order as Exhibit A.
