Applications for the Orem Youth Council were opened to high school students living in Orem. The program offers 10th through 12th grade students the chance to learn about city government and gain community appreciation.
Participants in the Orem Youth Council could engage in activities such as service projects, social activities, mock City Council meetings, and tours with various city departments. The program aimed to help students build leadership skills and develop friendships through community interaction.
Meetings were scheduled for the first Thursday of each month from September through May between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM. There was no cost to join the organization.
The application period for the Orem Youth Council was scheduled to close on August 23, 2026. Interested individuals could apply at orem.gov/oyc.
