The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) West Desert District Office is overseeing the incident. Recent media updates from July 19, 2026, included photographs of a Vernon Fire Department truck and WDD BLM activity.
Earlier documentation from mid-July showed fire response efforts including hose deployment and mapping updates provided by the Stookey Fire PIO.
