Mountain West Medical Center has partnered with Chapter to provide free, personalized guidance for residents navigating Medicare enrollment, according to a August 31 statement.
The collaboration is designed to help patients transition smoothly from current health plans as more local residents become eligible for Medicare this year in Tooele, UT.
Phil Eaton, CEO of Mountain West Medical Center, stated that navigating Medicare can be challenging due to the many factors involved in selecting a healthcare plan. He noted the center is committed to helping patients continue receiving quality care regardless of the Medicare plan chosen.
Through the partnership with Chapter, a team of licensed independent Medicare advisors, patients can access assistance to compare plans for affordable prescription and doctor visit coverage. Advisors are intended to help patients select coverage that allows them to continue receiving care from Mountain West Medical Center and assist in finding in-network options.

Key Medicare dates include the Open Enrollment period from October 15 to December 7, which allows for coverage changes for the following year starting January 1. Additionally, the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment period runs from January 1 to March 31 for those looking to switch Medicare Advantage plans or return to Original Medicare, though this does not include prescription drug plan changes.
