The Santa Clara City Council will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Santa Clara City Council Chambers. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM and will be broadcast via the city website.
The session will include a public hearing to receive comments regarding a proposed resolution to impose an emergency services sales and use tax. This proposed tax, pursuant to Utah Code § 59-12-2402, would be set at a rate of 0.33 percent.
City Manager Brock Jacobsen is scheduled to present items for discussion and action regarding the emergency services sales and use tax. This includes consideration of Resolution No. 2026-11R and approval to add the tax to the November ballot via Resolution No. 2026-12R.
Additionally, the council will consider the adoption of a Restated Public Safety Agreement with Ivins City. The agenda also features a presentation by Brennan Dougherty from Southwest Forensic Nursing & Healthcare to discuss a proclamation for April 2026 as Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
The meeting will feature an opening ceremony with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilman Hendrickson and opening comments from Reverend Rickine Kestin of Solomon’s Porch Foursquare Fellowship.
