Heber Valley is seeing significant momentum for the 2026 summer season driven by new developments, expanded access, and a full calendar of visitor experiences. These developments aim to position the mountain destination for continued success.
Construction is currently underway for The Slope, a major mixed-use development that broke ground on April 2, 2026. Designed to complement the Deer Valley East Village area, the project will introduce upscale lodging, dining, and gathering spaces with phased openings expected over several seasons.
In July 2026, the destination will welcome Canopy by Hilton, a new lodging property located adjacent to Deer Valley East Village and next to the Jordanelle Gondola. The hotel will feature four on-site dining concepts and direct access to mountain recreation.
Other developments currently under construction include the Waldorf Astoria Deer Valley and The Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences Deer Valley, both of which are expected to be completed before 2030.
The summer season includes various signature events such as the Red, White, and Blue Festival on July 4 and the Pioneer Day Celebration on July 24. The Wasatch County Fair Days were held from July 27 through August 1, and the Mountain Valley Stampede Rodeo took place from July 30 through August 1.
Upcoming events include the Midway Swiss Days scheduled for September 4 and 5, and the Wasatch Boomerfest scheduled for August 28 through August 30.
Dallin Koecher, Executive Director of Heber Valley Tourism, Chamber, and Economic Development, stated that the combination of new development, expanded programming, and strong community events is positioning Heber Valley for long-term success as a premier mountain destination.
