When it gets hot, many people turn down their AC or add window units to cool specific rooms. While this may seem like an efficient way to stay comfortable, a single 1,500-watt window AC unit can add nearly $100 to your monthly electric bill. Running multiple window units can increase costs even further. Before plugging in a window AC unit, consider the impact it may have on your electric bill.
