Salt Lake Community College has announced a Substitute Teacher Workshop to prepare individuals for classroom instruction roles. The training is delivered through a three-hour live webinar and can be completed within one week.
The workshop costs $49, though tuition is subject to change without notice and additional fees may apply.
The workshop focuses on general guidelines and best practices for substitute teachers. Participants will learn to define developmental stages and understand their impact on student behavior and academic performance.
Additional training topics include professional ethics, classroom management strategies, and tools to help sustain learning in assigned classrooms. The session also instructs participants on how to locate substitute teacher requirements and support information on various school district websites and other resources.
Instruction will cover the importance of rules, procedures, and expectations within the classroom, school, and district levels.
