KRCL has announced its annual record and CD sales, featuring vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and more. The sales will be held at a new location on the Spy Hop Rooftop, located at 208 West 900 South.
The public sales are scheduled for three days. The opening night will be held Friday, Oct. 23, from 4-9pm. The event will continue on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10am-4pm, and will conclude on Monday, Oct. 26, from 4-8pm.
A special sneak preview has been added specifically for members of KRCL's Hi-Fidelity Club and the Vinyl and CD of the Month Club.
Live remotes are scheduled for the event. Friday's sale will feature a live remote broadcast of Friday Soul Party with guest DJ Rockin' Robin of Gee Whiz spinning 45s.
On Saturday, live remotes will include John Florence and Saturday Sagebrush Serenade, followed by Courtney Blair and Afternoon Delight.
All proceeds from the sales help power KRCL 90.9FM, a non-profit community radio station. The station is still accepting donations of gently-used vinyl to sell during the annual fundraising sales.
Music donations are being accepted by appointment only. To schedule a time to drop off physical music donations, individuals may email Eric Nelson at recordsale@krcl.org.
