A request has been submitted to the Weber County Board of County Commissioners to declare two county-owned land parcels as surplus property. The proposal, presented by Ronna Tidwell of the Community Development Department, involves Tax ID #08-022-0041 and #08-022-0088.
The two parcels are located at approximately 3895 W Midland Drive in West Haven. Parcel #08-022-0041 contains roughly 668.89 square feet, while property #08-022-0088 contains approximately 1087.83 square feet.
These properties were originally acquired by the County through a tax sale process and a deed executed on June 19, 1986. An adjacent property owner has expressed interest in purchasing both small strips of land to consolidate their lot.
Because Weber County has no intended use for these two properties, it is recommended that the parcels be declared surplus and offered to the neighbor. To proceed with the conveyance of the real property, the County Commission must first take action to officially declare the parcels as surplus.
