Starvation Reservoir has reported several facility updates and specific fishing guidelines, according to an undated notice on the Utah State Parks website. The report noted that the water level is at 55% and receding.
Regarding water access, the launch ramp is open and the wedge dock is in place. While the boat dock is open, it is no longer connected to the concrete walkway. Additionally, the boat slip dock is closed due to the low water level. The fishing pier is open, though officials noted it is not ADA compliant because the water is below the concrete approach.
Fishing conditions for smallmouth bass and walleye are reported as good, while trout and all other species are reported as slow. Officials requested that visitors keep their limit of small walleye under 15 inches and suggested that crappie be voluntarily released to help build the population.
Various amenities remain open, including the archery range, disc golf course, fish cleaning station, AIS decontamination station, and showers. The 3D-archery course is also open for use.
Campground availability includes Mountain View Campground and Beach Campground, both of which are open. The cabins are open year-round and can be reserved throughout the year. Primitive campgrounds, including Indian Bay and Rabbit Gulch West Loop, are also open year-round.
The park maintains specific regulations for pets in lodging, including a $20 nonrefundable fee per dog and a limit of two pets per unit. A $150 violation fee may be applied for issues such as failing to declare a pet upon arrival, leaving a pet unattended without a crate, or failing to clean up pet waste.
