In a report published September 4, several Utah high school teams achieved significant victories across football, baseball, and volleyball competitions.
In 3A South football, the Juab Wasps defeated Manti 58-29 after Price Armstrong threw four touchdown passes. Kingston Wright also recorded four touchdown passes during the loss for the Templars. In Richfield, the Wildcats beat North Sanpete 36-7, led by Cordon White, who threw one touchdown pass and ran for another score. Chaetton Osborne scored an 80-yard run for the Hawks in the defeat.
In non-region football, the Delta Rabbits defeated Providence Hall 32-9, with scores from Bronx Hunt, Bodey Shurtz, Dayson Meinhardt, and McCrae Wade. South Summit defeated South Sevier 43-7, fueled by Ian Mair's two touchdown passes and one rushing touchdown. Enterprise beat North Sevier 59-14, featuring three rushing touchdowns from Jake Christensen. Kanab defeated Millard 42-6, with Degan Swapp scoring three times. Gunnison Valley beat Milford 42-13, led by three rushing touchdowns from Dillon Dyreng. Duchesne defeated Beaver 24-15, with Brex Robinson scoring three times.
In 1A South baseball, the Wayne Badgers defeated Pinnacle 35-1, with Ruger Grundy and RJ Pau’u each driving in four runs. The Panguitch Bobcats beat Green River 20-4, led by Mitch Dodds' four RBIs and Casey Walter's three strikeouts. Bryce Valley edged Piute 9-8, with Brace Syrett and Trevyn Clark each driving in three runs. In non-region baseball, the Valley Buffalos defeated Tintic 14-8, aided by a home run from Holden Harris.
In volleyball, Piute defeated Wayne 3-1 in Region 20 play. In football, St. Joseph defeated Panguitch 35-6.
