The race took place approximately three miles south of Scofield near Clear Creek. For the 2026 event, registration opened at 6:30 a.m. with the official race start occurring at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 4.
As part of the fifth annual iteration of the Pleasant Valley Days 5K, participants were eligible for various cash prizes based on their finishing times. The competition included three distinct divisions: $100 prizes for the fastest women, $100 prizes for the fastest men, and a $50 prize for the top finisher in the youth division for those aged 14 and under.
