SESD has announced an opportunity for high school juniors to attend the URECA Michael F. Peterson Youth Leadership Challenge. The annual, week-long leadership camp is scheduled to be held from Monday through Friday, July 6-10, 2026, on the Snow College campus in Ephraim, Utah.
The program features activities designed to help develop leadership skills, build self-esteem, and facilitate new friendships.
SESD stated they are passionate about helping create future leaders and intend to sponsor a high school junior to participate in the program this year.
To be considered for the challenge, applicants must be a high school junior for the 2025-2026 school year and will begin their senior year in the fall of 2026. Additionally, the applicant's family must be a current customer of SESD.
A complete 2026 online application requires the 2026 Leadership Challenge Application. If selected, applicants may be asked to participate in a video-recorded interview and provide a high-resolution photo for promotional materials.
