Santa Clara officials announced a series of upcoming public hearings and municipal meetings scheduled for late July 2026. These sessions include discussions on rezoning projects, cemetery burial restrictions, and non-resident cemetery fees.
The Santa Clara City Planning Commission scheduled a public hearing for July 23, 2026, at 5:30 PM in the City Council Chambers. The hearing will address a proposed rezoning and project plan for 4405 W. 1700 N., known as the Big Rocks Subdivision.
A public hearing regarding cemetery burial restrictions was scheduled by the Santa Clara City Council for July 22, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers located at 2603 Santa Clara Drive.
Earlier in the month, the City Council held a regular meeting and a work meeting on July 8, 2026. Additionally, a Planning Commission meeting took place on July 9, 2026.
In recent city updates, the annual Drinking Water Quality Consumer Confidence Report was made available to residents to provide information regarding water services and quality.
The city also noted that personal fireworks were prohibited through July 5 following an executive order from the Governor of Utah aimed at responding to elevated wildfire risks across the state.
The Santa Clara America250 lecture series continued on July 1, 2026, with a presentation titled Early Independence Days in Southern Utah featuring Lyman Hafen. The lecture was held at the Santa Clara Town Hall.
