The Widemouth Two Fire is continuing to expand in Millard County, growing to more than 68,000 acres. As the wildfire remains at zero-percent containment, officials have issued additional evacuation orders due to extreme conditions.
Governor Spencer Cox stated that crews are currently facing catastrophic fire conditions. As a precaution, 40 state inmates were relocated from the Millard County Jail.
Officials reported that more than 100 cattle have been killed, though no homes or other structures have been lost at this time.
A community meeting to discuss the fire is scheduled for 7:00 tonight on the Snow College Richfield campus. The meeting can be heard live on KSVC 980 AM 100.5 FM.
