The Utah Department of Corrections confirmed the death of incarcerated individual Nicholas Rossi, who was also known as Nicholas Alahverdian.
Rossi was pronounced dead at a local hospital on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 8:32 p.m. He was 38 years old.
According to the Utah Department of Corrections, Rossi died from complications related to an existing medical condition after he chose to discontinue medical treatment.
The department stated that this notification follows communication with the family of Rossi and his victims.
Rossi was serving a cumulative sentence of 10 years to life for two counts of First Degree Felony Rape.
