Central Valley Medical Center has announced the addition of Dr. Dallin Ollerton to its medical team to expand access to internal medicine care for adults in the community, according to an August 31 report.
Dr. Ollerton focuses on preventive care, regular screenings, and the early identification of potential health concerns. Internal medicine physicians, or internists, are trained to prevent, diagnose, and manage a wide range of health conditions, from routine needs to complex medical concerns.
Services provided by an internal medicine physician include annual wellness visits, health risk assessments, and the management of diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, and cardiovascular health. They also handle medication management, the evaluation of unexplained symptoms, and coordination with specialists.
Dr. Ollerton earned his medical degree from the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson. His approach involves building long-term relationships with patients to understand individual health needs through every stage of adulthood.
