Nine contestants are set to compete for the Miss Sanpete County and Miss Sanpete County Outstanding Teen titles this Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Snow College Eccles Center for the Performing Arts. The scholarship pageant, which begins at 7 p.m., will crown successors to current titleholders Ava Jensen and Kate Craven.
Contestant Lineup and Details
The competition features four women vying for the Miss Sanpete County title and five contestants competing for the Miss Sanpete County Outstanding Teen title. According to the Sanpete Messenger, the event will take place at the Eccles Center in Ephraim, with tickets available for $10 at the door.

The Miss Sanpete County contestants include Kamrie Douglas of Ephraim, Harmony Durtschi of Ephraim, Ginny Burgess of Gunnison, and Kenadee Hopes of Moroni. The Miss Sanpete County Outstanding Teen field consists of Kaylie Oxman of Manti, Mily Parkinson of Moroni, Gema Burgess of Gunnison, Bailey James of Ephraim, and Sasha Geloff of Manti.

Talent and Service Initiatives
The Miss Sanpete County Outstanding Teen contestants will perform a variety of routines. Kaylie Oxman will perform a piano solo to L’Orage (The Storm) by Friedrich Burgmüller, representing her initiative, "Life After the Storm." Mily Parkinson will perform a jazz and acrobatic dance routine to "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson for her initiative, "Donor Connect." Gema Burgess will perform American Sign Language to "A Million Dreams" by Pink for "I Can," while Bailey James will dance to "Circus" by Britney Spears for "Paws with a Purpose." Sasha Geloff will perform a hip-hop dance to "Diva" by Beyoncé for "Discover Your Spark."
Miss Title Talent Showcases
The Miss Sanpete County contestants will also showcase specific talents and causes. Kamrie Douglas will perform a lyrical dance to "Goodbye" by Mimi Webb for her initiative, "Healthy Smile, Healthy You." Harmony Durtschi will perform a vocal selection to "Wonder" by Katy Perry for her "Desert Wise" initiative. Ginny Burgess will perform American Sign Language to "A Soldier’s Memoir" by Mitch Rossell and Joe Bachman for "24IGY6: Veteran Support," and Kenadee Hopes will perform a contemporary dance to "The Village" by Wrabel for "Rooted Futures."
Organization History and Requirements
The Miss Sanpete County Organization previously held a Candidate Meet & Greet on April 20, 2026, at the Ephraim City Building to provide prospective contestants with information regarding the competition. The organization maintains strict age requirements for participants: teen contestants must be 14 by May 2027 and no older than 18 by May 2027, while Miss contestants must be no older than 28 by June 2027.
Venue Information
The Eccles Center for the Performing Arts, which hosts the event, maintains office hours from Monday through Friday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., excluding show nights. The venue is located at Snow College in Ephraim.
