The Little Horse Fire, located southwest of Fruitland in Duchesne County, made progress overnight according to a August 5 report from Utah Fire Info. The fire is estimated to be over 100 acres.
Additional resources were expected to arrive on August 5, including a Type 3 Incident Management Team.
Evacuation orders remained unchanged for areas including Morning Star Ranch and Avintaquin Canyon to the Strawberry River. Four evacuees remained displaced due to the fire.
Officials advised the public to avoid the area, follow instructions from local officials, and stay alert for changing conditions and additional updates.
