One person was killed and another was hospitalized Friday after a small plane crashed into Utah Lake shortly after takeoff, according to authorities.
The incident involved a Cessna aircraft that went down in the lake shortly after 4 p.m.
Sgt. Ray Ormond with the Utah County Sheriff's Office told Gephardt Daily that the Cessna aircraft crashed into Utah Lake on Friday afternoon.
The crash occurred in Utah County shortly after the plane had taken off.
