The Spring City Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2026, to discuss a proposed rezoning request. According to a Nov. 2 notice, the meeting is intended to gather public input on changing the use of a local property.
The hearing will focus on a request made by Eric Richardson to rezone his property at 300 North 80 West. Richardson is seeking to change the designation of the property from Residential to Commercial in preparation for opening a mechanic's shop. The proceedings are scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Spring City Community Center, located at 45 South 100 East.
While the meeting may be viewed via Zoom, officials stated that individuals must be present in person to provide comments. Participants are only permitted to convey their own personal comments rather than reading or commenting on behalf of another person. Written comments may be submitted to the Spring City office via email at treasurer@springcityutah.gov, through regular post to PO Box 189, or by dropping them off at the city office at any time before the scheduled hearing. These comments will be distributed to the Planning and Zoning Commissioners and the City Council.
The public hearing notice was posted by Whit Allred, the Treasurer for Spring City Corp and a member of the Planning and Zoning department. The city noted that individuals requiring assistance due to a disability should contact the city recorder at 435-462-2244 at least 24 hours in advance to request reasonable accommodations.
The hearing is scheduled for Nov. 18, 2026. Details regarding Zoom meeting information will be included with the agenda, which is expected to be posted at a later date on the Spring City website and the Utah Public Meeting Notice website.
