The Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce will host its sixth annual Growth & Prosperity Summit on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2026, to address pressing growth challenges in Utah County. The event will bring together business executives, policymakers, community leaders, and residents at Utah Valley University’s Sorensen Student Center to explore solutions for the region's future.
The summit is scheduled to address five primary issues facing Utah County: transportation congestion along I-15 and other corridors, housing affordability for future generations, water conservation and resource management, energy infrastructure to meet growing demand from data centers and artificial intelligence, and workforce development.
According to a November 3 statement, the summit will feature remarks from former Utah Gov. Gary Herbert. Attendees will also hear from regional and national thought leaders, including Natalie Gochnour, director of the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute at the University of Utah, and Charles Marohn, founder of Strong Towns.
The program is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 12, with check-in beginning at 7 a.m. The event will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the UVU Sorensen Student Center in Orem, Utah. Registration for the summit includes breakfast and lunch, and the schedule will include breakout sessions focused on issues relevant to specific businesses and communities.
Utah County is currently experiencing significant population and economic growth. Curtis Blair, president and CEO of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce, stated that the summit aims to help the community understand upcoming challenges and explore ways to build a prosperous future. He noted that growth affects everyone in Utah Valley, from local businesses to residential neighborhoods.
