Ogden School District has announced it is transitioning from GoGuardian to Blocksi. This change will serve as the new system for student internet filtering, classroom screen monitoring, and the parent dashboard portal.
The district's recent developments include national recognition for OTECH High School. The school and Ogden School District were recognized for their competency-based program at Ogden-Weber Technical College.
In other community news, Superintendent Luke Rasmussen was selected by Voices for Utah Children as one of their 40 for 40 Years honorees. Additionally, Ogden Police are working to support safe driving near schools, noting that the same traffic and parking rules used on city streets now apply to Ogden School District property.
Various elementary schools have hosted recent events, such as the PAWS for Books storytelling experience featuring Antonio Sacre at Odyssey Elementary. At Bonneville Elementary, students participated in a celebration involving dunking their principal to mark hitting attendance goals.
Regarding student services, breakfast and lunch were scheduled to be served free of charge on weekdays from June 2nd through July 23rd, with specific morning and midday service times.
