Sand Springs Elementary has introduced a Learn-to-Build robotics program for the Fall 2026 term. According to a notice on the school's website, the six-week introduction is designed to teach students about robotics, building, programming, sensors, drive trains, and engineering notebooks without the stress of tournaments or competitions.
The program is open to students in grades 2 through 6. Due to the specific components required for the class, enrollment is limited to 20 students, though officials noted that another session may be held if there is significant interest. The registration fee for the course is $30.
Scheduled sessions for the program include Monday afternoons from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The dates listed in the school's notice include September 21, September 28, October 5, October 12, October 19, and October 26, 2026. This program is a separate class from DRL.
