Sanpete County Clerk Linda Christiansen has issued a formal certification for the 2026 General Election. In a notice posted to the county's website, Christiansen certified that specific candidates are qualified for placement on the upcoming ballot.
The certification, dated September 2, 2026, identifies several candidates for various offices. For the U.S. House of Representatives, District 4, the certified candidates include Taylor Wright, Jonny Larsen, Steven Burt, and Mike Kennedy. For the Utah House of Representatives, District 66, the candidates are Breanne Mashek, Troy Shelley, and Russ Hatch.
Local county offices identified in the certification include candidates for the Sanpete County Commission, Sanpete County Attorney, Sanpete County Auditor, Sanpete County Clerk, and Sanpete County Sheriff. The notice also lists candidates for the North and South Sanpete School Boards.
In addition to candidates, the notice addresses non-partisan judicial retention elections for the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, as well as the Sixth Judicial District and local Justice Courts.
