Scofield State Park implemented Stage 2 fire restrictions as of August 18th, 2026. Under these restrictions, no open fires of any kind were permitted, including fires within established fire pits, charcoal grills, pellet grills, or ash-producing fuel.
Properly shielded gas or liquid-fueled portable camp stoves with a shut-off valve were allowed, provided they were used in an area at least three feet in diameter that was barren with no flammable vegetation.
As of the August 18th update, the reservoir water level was at 43%. Algae conditions were listed as clear, and ice conditions were noted as open water.
Both Mountain View Campground and Madsen Bay Campground were open. Restrooms at both Mountain View and Madsen Bay were also open. Additionally, the Mountain View launch ramp, Mountain View boat dock, Madsen Bay launch ramp, and Madsen Bay boat docks were all reported as open. Fish cleaning stations were closed.
The park's summer hours were scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The reservoir is noted as a Blue Ribbon Fishery.
