A Weber School District bus carrying two Fremont High students went off the road in the Farr West area on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026. The incident occurred just before 3 p.m. while a substitute driver was attempting to turn the vehicle around.
According to a district statement, the bus was transporting special education students from Fremont High School to their homes when the vehicle backed off the shoulder of the road and into a ditch. The incident occurred near 4000 North and 2975 West.
Neither the driver nor the students involved were injured in the accident. The district's transportation department arranged for the students to be picked up and taken to their homes, and a tow truck was used to remove the bus from the ditch.
The accident appears to have been caused by driver error, according to the district. Both the district and the Weber County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident.
