The South Salt Lake Planning Commission will hold a public hearing and meeting on Oct. 1, 2026, according to a September 18 notice. The meeting is scheduled to address various land use applications and proposed city regulations.
The meeting agenda includes a request for a Conditional Use Permit from Hightech Signs to install a detached on-premises electronic message center at 3880 South 700 East (Zions Bank). Additionally, Delta Stubbs has applied for a Conditional Use Permit for a Category II Home Occupation to operate an in-home child care business at 287 E Cordelia Ave.
A public hearing is also scheduled regarding a petition to the Planning Commission. This petition seeks a positive recommendation for the South Salt Lake City Council to establish regulations for body art establishments, add definitions for body art and body art establishments, and update the land use matrix.
