Emergency Response and Medical Care
The incident occurred near the Highway 40/I-80 interchange while a K-9 handler and Bruno were responding to assist authorities with the suspicious package. During the assessment of the package, Bruno jumped from the overpass, resulting in the injuries, the Park City Police Department said.

Medical personnel provided immediate care to the canine following the fall. Bruno was subsequently transported via Life Flight to an emergency veterinary hospital in Salt Lake City to receive medical treatment, the Park City Police Department stated.
