South Summit School District implemented SchoolMessenger as a new tool for communication. The platform was introduced to provide updates to students, employees, and parents or guardians.
Emails sent through the system are delivered to the email address on file with the district. The district advised recipients to check spam folders and adjust email settings to ensure important messages from schools and the district are accepted.
To continue receiving text messages from the district and its schools, parents, guardians, employees, and students in grades 9 through 12 were required to opt-in. This process involved texting Y or YES to 67587 from the mobile number on file with the district to ensure important updates were not missed.
