Residents of a Hideout apartment received an unexpected visitor when a bobcat wandered into their home. The Wasatch County Sheriff's Office reported that the animal entered a unit at the Todd Hollow apartments.
Photos shared on the Sheriff's Office social media page showed the bobcat inspecting a cat tree located near a window in the ground-level apartment. The Sheriff's Office suggested the animal may have been drawn to the cat tree and catnip.
According to the Wasatch County Sheriff's Office, the bobcat left the unit on its own after inspecting the accommodations. No injuries were reported following the incident.
The Utah Department of Natural Resources was notified of the intrusion. The Sheriff's Office noted that the encounter serves as a reminder that wildlife occasionally seeks out cozy apartments.
