Sparta Training was held on October 12 from 7:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m., according to a September 29 announcement from Waterford School. The athletics event took place earlier this month.
Waterford School also scheduled several alumni events for May 15 and May 16. The scheduled alumni weekend includes a variety of activities such as a kickoff lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Miller Student Commons. Following lunch, the school planned a tour led by Assistant Head of School Todd Winters from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Miller Student Commons. This tour is designed to show alumni the school's newest additions and recent transformations across the 41-acre campus.
The alumni schedule for Friday, May 15, also includes the following: a Back to Class event from 2:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Miller Student Commons; an Alumni Art Show and Gallery Opening from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Haught Visual Arts Gallery; a Spring Family BBQ from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the Main Quad; and an Alumni Soccer Game from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at East Field. Additionally, Head of School Andrew Menke is scheduled to present The Menke Minute from 12:45 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Miller Student Commons.
Other upcoming activities include the Bringing Back Birding event on Saturday, May 16, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Murray Science Center. The event features Mark Bromley, James Harris, Mike Johnson ’88, and Bekka Joslin. The school also hosts various class reunions, including those for the Classes of 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016, and 2021, as well as a combined reunion for alumni from the 1990s.
Registration is required for several of these events, including the alumni soccer game, the Back to Class session, and the birding event. No registration is needed for the Spring BBQ or the Alumni Kick-Off Lunch.
