Smith was the owner and manager of Papa's Pizzeria, located in Fairview. The business's Facebook page indicated that the establishment was closed on the day the death was confirmed. Prior to that closure, the pizzeria had closed on Thursday, Aug. 27, to support the search for Smith, and had requested fasting and prayers from the community on Sunday, Aug. 30.
