The Washington County Board of Commissioners scheduled a regular public meeting for September 1, 2026, according to a notice published August 31. The meeting is set to commence at 4:00 PM in the Washington County Commission Chambers and via Zoom.
The meeting will include a one-on-one public interface with county commissioners from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM held in the Commission Chambers. An invocation will be provided by Mary Robinson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Agenda items for consideration include a presentation regarding the elections team being honored at the State Capitol and a proclamation declaring September 17, 2026, as Recovery Day in Washington County. Other regular agenda items involve various resolutions for professional services, tourism funding, and land acquisition.
The consent agenda for the meeting includes the consideration of auditor-approved claims for payment from August 19, 2026, through September 1, 2026, and the approval of the August 18, 2026, commission meeting minutes. The commission will also consider the disposal of surplus voting machines and the renewal of a contract with Cvent.
