Skeem identified the annual 6th-grade kickball game as a favorite school tradition, noting that her favorite memories involve the teachers winning the game. She credited the staff, students, and community as the reasons why Plain City Elementary is a special place for teaching and learning.
Outside of the classroom, Skeem enjoys spending time with her family and animals in her barn. Her personal interests include the color orange, the movie Remember the Titans, and visiting her grandmother's house, which she identified as her favorite local spot in the Plain City and Weber County area.
